MacPherson Academy is a full-service, core subject school for full and part time students, featuring a variety of teacher-taught classes for high school, middle school, and advanced 4th and 5th grade students, that places high value on academic excellence. Our outstanding student / teacher ratio allows us to teach to the student's level, explaining and inspiring, while providing a challenging college preparatory curriculum.
We are an inclusive school where respect and values are based on the traditional Judeo-Christian model without bias towards individual and family choices of denominations or religions.
A one-hundred dollar non-refundable registration fee must accompany the application before it will be processed. Classes are priced at $7.50 per half-hour, per class. Some classes are one hour, some one and one-half hours, some two hours, etc. A detailed schedule is available on the last page of this application. Fees will be payable, by semester in advance, or yearly in advance; the first payment will be due on or before June 15, 2011 and the second payment is due on or before August 1, 2011.
Submission of this application means that you are committing to one full school year for year- long classes and one full semester for semester classes.
Classes will meet for 36 weeks. A calendar will be provided, on the website, showing holidays and vacations. Records and transcripts will be kept for full-time students. Full and part-time students will be given regular progress reports. Parents are encouraged to meet with teachers either by phone, e-mail or mail, whenever questions and concerns arise. A full-time student is enrolled for 5 or more classes.
Decisions on admission, faculty, curricula, textbooks, field trips, guest speakers, class placements, pacing of the material taught and other activities are at the sole discretion of the MacPherson Academy Administration and teachers.
